After School Programs, Inc. is the largest provider of after
school programs in Broward County, Florida. We currently serve over 6,000
children and families and have numerous sites which are located throughout
Broward County. We maintain our reputation through the commitment and
dedication of over 600 employees.
We are currently seeking motivated team players who have
proven child care management skills to join our management team. All
candidates must also be ready and willing to become a positive and
professional role model to the children, staff, parents, families and
communities we serve. The Site Director position will be responsible for
overseeing an after school program site with at least 150
children.
Primary duties/responsibilities: General: Candidate
should have at least one year experience in a child care management
capacity. · Responsible for total operation of the program. ·
Responsible for following and enforcing all company policies and
procedures. · Responsible for supervising, motivating, and mentoring
staff. · Responsible for ensuring the safety and fun of all children in
the program. · Interact effectively with parents, children, staff and
school administration. · Communicate with parents regarding children's
behavior or any other unusual incidents · Responsible for completing
all required paperwork by deadlines and collecting payments. Other
success factors: · Ability to work independently as well as in a team
environment. · Commitment to creating a quality child care
program. · Ability to focus on detail without losing sight of the
entire program. · Strong communication and people skills ·
Flexibility
Educational Requirements: Candidate MUST have one of
the following two requirements: 1. A minimum of 60 college credits with
at least 6 credits in coursework which covers birth through adolescence
(ex: Child Psychology, Human Growth and Development). 2. CDA
Hours: Normal hours are Monday - Friday from 1:00 -
6:00 pm, but schedules may vary and range anywhere from 25 - 40
hours.
